Creamy Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

How to Make It

  1. Start by adding the liquid to your blender. 
  2. Add the remaining ingredients. 
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth.

 

Helpful Tips

Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk. For a thinner smoothie, incorporate more frozen fruit. 

Tough Blenders: If your blender struggles with frozen ingredients, let them thaw for about 5 minutes before blending.

Ways to Customize

For a Protein Boost: Stir in 1 tablespoon of almond or peanut butter, or a scoop of your favorite protein powder. 

For Extra Nutrients: Add a handful of spinach or kale, or 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. 

For Sweetness/Flavor: Mix in 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup, or a few fresh mint leaves. 

To Make it Dairy-Free: Use almond or soy milk, and replace regular yogurt with a vegan alternative or omit it entirely.
