My wife and I had such a great time picking apples here in October. The staff was fun and very helpful and the facilities were very nice. We were a little late in the season so pretty much all of the fuji apples had been picked but we were able to get our fill of pink lady apples. If you pick your own apples you’ll get to ride on a trailer behind a tractor out to the group of u-pick trees and then you ride the trailer back to the store. In the back of the store is the bakery where you can pick from a number of tasty treats. This place will be crowded so be prepared to be patient, though they do handle crowds well here. You have to do the u-pick, it was amazing. You get to sample the apples, even if you do not purchase the u-pick bag. Today we got to have the pleasure of talking with a Mecer, who was a child when he started selling apples on the street in front of the orchard. Going back next year for berry season.

We had a great time visiting Mercier Orchards! One of the things we loved most was the more relaxed, less hectic atmosphere, which made it easy to take our time and enjoy everything. The views are absolutely beautiful, making it a great place to walk around and soak in the scenery.

The shop is huge and packed with goodies, including a great selection of ciders, jams and jellies, fresh bakery items, and a cider tasting room. There’s plenty to browse and sample, so you won’t leave empty-handed! The petting zoo is a fun addition, and the pond adds another peaceful spot to enjoy the surroundings.

Overall, Mercier Orchards is a wonderful place to spend a few hours, enjoy the mountain views, shop for local treats, and experience a little bit of North Georgia charm without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds. Definitely worth a visit!

Great place to visit. Lots of fun for the whole family.
Becareful with the staff direction traffic, they are only half paying attention and do not comminucate well. First incident we were crossing on foot from the apple orchard back to the store, the staff on myside of the road was holding up his hand to stop traffic while the staff on the sidewalk was waving traffic on. Communication and coordination.
Second incident- we were getting ready to leave and we were comming up from the parking lot above the ponds going up to the store. The flag man was vigioursly waving hins arms for me to move forward but i was going up the hill and going over a speed bump. I get over the speed bump and then he held up the flag to stop just as I got up to him. Then threw up his hands acting like I had done something.

Anytime we're in the area, we always go there and get some hand pies and some fruit. Just the place you have to visit. If you're here. So many unique items. But honestly, the hand pies are just so good, it's impossible to pass up.

What a great experience!  Inexpensive way to spend the afternoon, eat apples off the tree while sitting in the shade 😀 now the store is another thing, be ready to spend 😀 because there is so much to choose from. We will definitely be back when they have more apple options, unfortunately they only had 1 the crimson crisp, which was delicious but it'll be nice to enjoy several other options.
