If you are spending a day at the orchard, these are the essential experiences, insider hacks, and legendary items you should absolutely check off your list.
- Our Fried Apple Pie: This is the ultimate Mercier staple, born right out of our family kitchen. They are the perfect combination of crispy, sweet, and flaky. Trust us, your visit just isn’t complete without holding a warm one in your hands.
- The Views: Even if you’re just stopping by the Market, the sprawling acres of our orchard are truly something to behold. But to get the best views, take a walk down to our pond. You’ll get a gorgeous look at the water and the flora sitting right at the base of our rolling hills.
- The Catch-and-Release Fishing Pond: Looking for a nice, quiet spot to relax? We open up our scenic pond right next to the orchards for catch-and-release fishing. It is completely free for our guests, so bring your gear and see if you can hook some of our bass, bream, or carp.
- Custom Growler Fills: If you find a hard cider you love while hanging out in our tasting room, you don’t have to leave it behind! You can grab one of our custom Mercier glass growlers or a 32-ounce “crowler” can, and we’ll fill it up straight from the tap for you to take home.
- Apple Cider Donuts Fresh Off the Line: Head straight to our bakery counter and look for the fresh apple cider donuts. While we make a few different varieties, catching those cinnamon sugar donuts while they are still warm off the line is an absolute game-changer.
- The Seasonal Fruit Sample Counter: Not sure which apple or peach variety is your favorite? We set up a sampling counter right in the middle of the market so you can taste-test whatever we’re harvesting that day before you buy a full bag.
- The Estate-Grown Cider Flight: Because Mercier is the only orchard in Georgia that handles the entire process of growing, pressing, fermenting, and canning all on-site, a flight in their tasting room gives you a unique beverage experience.
- Tractor-Wagon Orchard Tours: Buying a ticket for our tractor-pulled wagon ride is the only way to get deep into the rolling hills of the 300-acre orchard.
- Apple Cider Slushies: The ultimate crisp, refreshing way to cool down during a warm afternoon on the farm.
- The Local Honey & Fruit Butter Wall: An entire massive section of the market is dedicated to jars of local mountain honey (including rare sourwood honey) and our signature Apple, Peach, and Pumpkin butters.
