Frequently Asked Questions

What if it rains?

The weather here in North Georgia can be unpredictable, and safety is our top priority, so we don’t offer U-Pick or Tractor Tours during lousy weather.

Do we purchase tickets in advance?

U-Pick Admission can only be purchased on-site here at Mercier Orchards. Admission for U-Pick is first come first served and only available while there is still fruit in the fields – so be sure to get here early for the best pickin’s!

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are not permitted in the orchard or the market. Thanks a bunch!

Service Dogs are welcome in our Market and are covered by the American Disabilities Act. Emotional Support Animals are not covered by the ADA and are not allowed inside or in the Orchard.

A must visit when in the area. We came home with lots of goodies including the best apple cider and the delicious fried pies (blackberry, apple and cherry)! Huge Selection, nicely organized & they even have hayrides to the orchards where you pick your own apples. Highly Recommend Mercier Orchards!

Highly recommend the Upick Tractor Ride. Meagan, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind! The entire orchard and market place are a must stop! The fried pies are absolutely delicious. We always have the best experience!

Up from Florida for a wedding, drove an hour to pick apples, Mercier is beautiful, you buy tickets and then the tractor takes you to the apple picking fields so you don't have to walk.  So many apples, we picked half a bushel!  Then went inside and tasted cider and shopped, loved it. Got a box of their small handheld pies, lots of flavors and two loaves of apple bread covered with icing.  Everything we bought was delicious.  Definitely recommend!

We had such a great time apple picking at Mercier! 🍎✨ The gift shop was amazing and the staff was wonderful from start to finish. The two girls giving the tour while we rode the tractor up to the orchard shared fun facts along the way, which was such a nice touch and made the experience even better!

Once we got up there, Colton was our guide and he was so nice and funny. He explained exactly where to go and made everything super easy. I also loved learning that they make so much of what they sell fresh and that they only use a calcium spray, basically a natural sunscreen, on the apples. That was really impressive to hear!

I had a question for the manager while we were there, and she was so sweet and genuinely happy to answer everything I was curious about. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly.

All around a 10/10 experience!! ✨ My only little wish was that there had been a little more variety available to pick. We were only able to pick Crimson Crisp apples when we went, but that may have just been because of the time in the season. Either way, we had such a great time and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time! We were part of their U-Pick where you are able to go out into the orchard and pick apples directly from the trees! Family-friendly and slow-paced so anyone can participate. They have tractors going all day so whenever you’re done, you just hitch a ride back.

Mom and I had the most fun at Mercier’s yesterday!! It was her first time apple picking, and I think I ruined any other place for her (including, and especially, grocery store apples). We felt like family from the time we arrived—all were so friendly even with the busyness of a sunny October Monday. We visited another nearby orchard today, and it did not compare.
