Ingredients

6 Mercier Orchards Apples

2 Cinnamon Sticks

⅓ Cup Apple Cider

2-4 Tbsp Sugar (or more to taste)

½ teaspoon Saigon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cover. (You can also make this in a crockpot – cook on low for 3 hours)

  2. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the apples are very tender. Remove the lid and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. Remove the cinnamon sticks. Mash apples with a masher for a chunky consistency or blend/puree with an immersion blender for a smooth consistency.
  4. Serve warm or chilled. Whatever your preference this recipe turns out delicious!
