Donations
At Mercier Orchards, our roots run deep in this community. We believe that a harvest is meant to be shared, and giving back is at the core of what we do. As a veteran-owned business, service is part of who we are. We are proud to support local and national organizations by donating our products and partnering with groups that are making a real difference.
Project Chimps:
We are delighted to share our harvest with the residents of Project Chimps, a sanctuary providing lifelong care for retired chimpanzees. We donate fresh, crisp apples, offering a healthy and delicious enrichment treat for these amazing animals to enjoy.
Georgia House Rabbit Society:
Nothing goes to waste in our orchard! We support local house rabbit rescue organizations by donating apple sticks pruned from our trees. These sticks are the perfect natural chew toy, helping to keep the rabbits’ teeth healthy and providing hours of happy enrichment.
Marine Corps League:
As a veteran-owned and operated business, supporting our nation’s armed forces is personal. We are proud to honor that commitment by giving back to organizations that support U.S. Marines, veterans, and their families.
Snack in a Backpack:
We’ve teamed up with the amazing folks at Snack in a Backpack to help ensure the kids in our community have access to fresh, nutritious food. Thanks to this partnership, we’ve been able to donate 324 bushels of apples, helping to serve 650 children weekly! No child should have to worry about where their next meal comes from. We are so grateful for the work this organization does every single day, and we are honored to play a small part in rooting out hunger in our community.
FFA (Future Farmers of America):
We are passionate about investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders. We partner with our local FFA chapter by welcoming students to work with us as baggers during our busy seasons. This hands-on experience supports their learning and provides our customers with friendly, helpful service.
